About
Hi. My name is Melanie. I am a New England native original from Westport, Massachusetts. I suppose you could say I have a goldilocks complex…I’ve lived in New York, but left before hurricane Sandy. I’ve lived in San Francisco, but left in a fog. I now reside in Austin, Texas with just the right amount of sun, snow, and succulents.
I confess, I sometimes name our backyard wildlife, and enjoy making lists and listing my lists. Current lists include:

Beautifully illustrated picture books to check out of the library (sorry Timmy, I had it first)
Professionally I manage behemoth design projects. Like a sponge, I can absorb large amounts of disparate information and inputs, then synthesize and distill them into a beautiful, digestible new form. You may also like to know I am a Designer - Illustrator - Painter and run A Real Peach, a watercolor and mixed media studio.
